Background
The 3rd Thailand-Japan International Academic Conference (TJIA 2010) is organized by the Thai Student Association in Japan under Royal Patronage (TSAJ) with the collaboration of the Royal Thai Embassy in Japan (Tokyo), the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Japan (Osaka), Thailand Research Fund (TRF)*, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), National Innovation Agency (NIA)*, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), Japan-Thailand Economic Cooperation Society (JTEC), Old Japan Student Association in Thailand (OJSAT), Association of Thai Professionals in Japan (ATPIJ), and universities from both Thailand and Japan comprising the board committee.
The TJIA conference has evolved from the Thai-Japanese Students' Academic Exchange Meeting (TJSE) conferences, which were organized by the Thai Student Association in Japan under Royal Patronage (TSAJ) and held in Osaka University in 2006 and 2007. Following the success of those two meetings, the 1st and 2nd Thailand-Japan International Academic Conferences (TJIA 2008-2009) were expanded to the scale equivalent to that of international academic conferences. For this year (2010), learning from the 1st and 2nd TJIA conferences, the 3rd Thailand-Japan International Academic Conference (TJIA 2010) will be held at Nagoya University. The 3rd TJIA conference is expected to be an official international conference which will link Thai and Japanese students, researchers as well as professionals offering opportunities to exchange knowledge, learning, and practice together.
Objectives
- To be appreciative of the concept entitled "Beyond the Multidisciplinary Research Towards Sustainability".
- To realize the importance of incorporated research based on 'sustainability' towards a better quality of life and the future in all aspects.
- To promote 'State of the Art' research and exchange constructive opinions among the participants from various fields of research, and increasing and strengthening collaborative networks.
- To crystallize the promising ideas and useful applications for developing our societies (Thailand, Japan, and other countries all around the world), which will be obtained from discussions and recommendations in this conference.
Expected Outcomes
- Attendants realize the importance of the role of Multidisciplinary Research in the sustainable development of both human life and societies, and foster positive attitudes to enthusiastically conduct such research by their own research teams and through collaborations.
- Thai students and professionals, who are studying and working in Thailand and Japan, have the opportunity to participate and disseminate their research works.
